It’s my Life

Just like everything else in the world, the society that we live in is also evolving. It’s like things are never the same like it was a few years ago. Just a few decades ago it was the norm to finish school, go to college, start a career and then get married to become consistent. If you are not married then people look at you as some kind of a criminal. But today this has changed to a great extent. There are many people who choose not to be married. They feel marriage is a like a bondage and binds you from pursuing personal desires and dreams. And thankfully to a great extend people don’t look at you as if you were a criminal, but yes, there are a few who would think that you might have had a painful past which is why you do not want to come under the institution of marriage.

Is it true that most of the people who choose to remain unmarried come from broken families? I personally think that probably that’s how it started. However, today there are many who choose to remain single just to pursue their passion and especially to remain free from responsibilities. I am a roofing expert, now that does not make me look like a passionate person as a musician or a song writer would be and neither did my parents'divorce, so what made me decide to be single. Just the fact that I knew I was not ready for the extra responsibility. Well I enjoy my lonely life, you might not find my life a lot fun, but it’s my life and I choose to live it the way I want. I think people out there who are shy to be single should not be ashamed of themselves, but should simply enjoy the life they chose.
