Follow your dreams: think outside the box
Following your dreams is a bit of a cliché in the western world – it's something we all consider but most of us never actually DO. A shame? Certainly. And being single is the finest time to do something like this. And let's be honest...if you can't make that break now, when can you? It certainly won't get any easier if you do one day decide to start a family!
Let's use this as an example...
Adam has just been hired part-time working with hr software from octopus . It's a good job and one that he knows like the back of his hand – he has some money saved up and he is OK. But – and isn't there always a but – when he quit his full-time job he wanted to go travelling. Not the entire world but just a few key countries that he'd always been fascinated by. Now, does he quit this job and risk never finding a good job again in this dodgy economical climate? Or does he just stick with it...
...life is going by and if you’re not pursuing what you really want to do then what ARE you doing?
Here’s the thing: if you want to get a job really badly, you will be able to. You just will. It won’t be the ideal job probably but so what? It doesn’t matter too much. You’ll be able to look for another at the same time.
Because here’s the thing...life is going by and if you’re not pursuing what you really want to do then what ARE you doing? Life isn’t all about money, it’s also about experiences, so never feel guilty for following something which can greatly enhance your life.
We all only get one life, right? So why waste it? Precisely. Glad I could be of service to change your mind!
(Note: don’t just go and quit your job because of what I’ve said here. Take everything into consideration and also don’t run away from your problems. Just saying...I have experience of this and it isn’t always the best way!)
